April 15, 2025 – Customers now have a wide choice in how they want to use NeoMesh, the ultra-low-power bi-directional wireless mesh networking protocol stack from NeoCortec. NeoMesh is offered on NCxxxx modules from NeoCortec, on Embit LoRa-enabled modules, through licensing from NeoCortec, and on Click boards from MikroElektronika.
NeoCortec’s scalable wireless mesh networking protocol is available for both 2.4 GHz and sub-1 GHz frequency bands in a series of pre-certified modules manufactured by NeoCortec. The modules are cost-efficient, easy to integrate, and share the same footprint so products do not need to be redesigned to support the full frequency range.
At Embedded World 2025, NeoCortec and Embit launched a dual-band embedded NeoMesh wireless network module using LoRa modulation. Building on the first public demonstration at electronica 2024, the new dual-band module enables the technology to be used in many more applications and gives customers greater flexibility.
NeoCortec also offers NeoMesh as a software licensing model, allowing customers to implement the stack directly in their own designs with comprehensive technical support. The NeoMesh stack supports many applications and a broad range of chipsets, including devices from Texas Instruments, Nordic Semiconductor, Silicon Labs, STMicroelectronics and Semtech.
Finally, three NeoMesh Click boards operating at 868 MHz, 915 MHz and 2.4 GHz are available through MikroE. These boards help engineers start proof-of-concept testing quickly and at low cost across a wide range of applications including smart buildings, metering, security, agriculture, transportation, industry 4.0, medical and food distribution.
About NeoCortec
NeoCortec was founded in 2007 with the aim of developing and patenting several innovations related to Wireless Sensor Networks. The main product is NeoMesh. NeoMesh is a wireless communication protocol to be embedded in smart devices to enable communication between the devices as well as to the cloud. NeoMesh is built completely from scratch to overcome some of the limitations that e.g. Zigbee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth and Thread have: scalability in number of devices, range and power consumption. At NeoCortec, we aim towards making non-smart and large buildings smarter by using NeoMesh. Easy upgrade without cabling. NeoMesh is available on ultra-low-power bi-directional wireless mesh network communication modules as well as on a license basis on many various chipsets.
