July 4, 2024 – NeoCortec has been working with its German distributor Endrich Bauelemente to develop a smart-fridge concept that helps fridge manufacturers add intelligent features and enables end users to monitor important refrigerator parameters through a mobile application.
Using NeoMesh wireless sensor modules, the concept can monitor temperature, humidity, interior-light brightness and door status. The collected information can also provide valuable data such as how often and how long doors are opened, which is particularly useful in commercial environments like gas stations and retail stores.
Endrich highlighted that NeoMesh makes it possible to capture and transmit the needed data wirelessly into its own IoT ecosystem or another suitable cloud service. Combined with extremely low power consumption and the ability to create scalable local wireless networks, NeoMesh is positioned as an ideal fit for smart IoT solutions where compact size, easy installation and independence from wired infrastructure are essential.
About NeoCortec
NeoCortec was founded in 2007 with the aim of developing and patenting several innovations related to Wireless Sensor Networks. The main product is NeoMesh. NeoMesh is a wireless communication protocol to be embedded in smart devices to enable communication between the devices as well as to the cloud. NeoMesh is built completely from scratch to overcome some of the limitations that e.g. Zigbee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth and Thread have: scalability in number of devices, range and power consumption. At NeoCortec, we aim towards making non-smart and large buildings smarter by using NeoMesh. Easy upgrade without cabling. NeoMesh is available on ultra-low-power bi-directional wireless mesh network communication modules as well as on a license basis on many various chipsets.
