NeoCortec is pleased to announce, together with MikroElektronika (MikroE), the introduction of new Click Boards™ based on Neocortec modules. With the NeoMesh protocol being a natural choice when building battery powered, highly scalable and reliable wireless sensor networks, developers now have access to a large selection of MCU, sensor and other boards which can simply be clicked together to form a device.

The Click Boards eliminate the need for engineers to create any PCB design themselves, enabling them to initiate Proof-of-Concept testing of the NeoMesh network protocol stack in a real application very quickly and at minimal cost. The Click Boards feature the Neocortec’s compact, low-power NC1000 and NC2400 network modules which addresses a broad range of applications based on IoT and Cloud-based sensor networks, including smart building and smart workplace, metering, security, agriculture, transportation, industry 4.0, medical and food distribution. Within a very short time, a device can be built and an IOT application can be developed at a minimal cost. Average power consumption is as low as 20uA.

Three versions of the Click board are available, one for each of the communication modules:

The NeoMesh Click Boards are fully compatible with the mikroBUS™ socket and can be used on any host system supporting the mikroBUS™ standard. The boards come with the mikroSDK open-source libraries, offering a large degree of flexibility for evaluation and customization. The Click Boards come with the ClickID feature where the host system seamlessly and automatically will detect and identify the add-on board.

About Click boards™

Click boards™ follow a modular prototyping add-on board standard invented by MikroE, which revolutionizes the way users add new functionalities to development boards. Click Boards™ enable design engineers to change peripherals easily, cutting months off development time. To enable hundreds of Click Boards to be connected to the microcontroller or microprocessor, MikroE’s mikroBUS socket standard interface allows you to connect any Click Boards to a main board instantly. MikroE releases a new Click Boards nearly every day, and many leading microcontroller companies include the mikroBUS™ socket on their development boards.

About MikroE

MikroE is committed to changing the embedded electronics industry through the use of industry-standard hardware and software solutions. In 2011, the company invented the mikroBUS™ development socket standard and the compact Click Boards that use the standard to dramatically cut development time. Now the company offers 1500+ Click Boards – ten times more than competitors – and the mikroBUS standard is included by leading microcontroller companies on their development boards. MikroE also makes the world’s widest range of compilers and additionally provides development environments, development boards, smart displays and programmers and debuggers.
