NeoCortec is partnering with OKdo to take NeoMesh, their unique, 100 percent battery powered sensor connectivity solution to market. OKdo, the technology company from Electrocomponents plc, was chosen based on their global strategy focusing on the single board computer (SBC) and Internet of Things (IoT) segments, spanning makers, entrepreneurs, industrial designers, educators and re-seller partners.

This partnership means NeoCortec has joined the growing OKdo ecosystem, working with some of the best technology companies on the planet to bring the latest products and innovations to more people around the world, wherever they are on their SBC and IoT journey.

Thomas Steen Halkier, CEO of NeoCortec:

”We are thrilled to be partnering with OKdo. We share their vision of providing end-to-end support for all SBC and IoT segments. What NeoMesh brings to the table is a simple and secure technology for adding connectivity to devices, allowing enterprises to focus on developing the application instead of spending time on handling connectivity issues.”

“NeoMesh is making low-power wireless connectivity simple. Our out-of-the-box ready network nodes connect to an existing network immediately and automatically through a secure matchmaking procedure. The network is self-forming, new nodes can be added over time, and nodes can be repositioned when and where is needed with no need to predefine the topology of the network.”

“In short: With NeoMesh it has never been easier to create a complete, autonomous and self-containing wireless mesh-network targeting sensor type applications. With its strong focus on user friendliness and short time-to-market, NeoMesh fits perfectly into the OKdo eco system, and we are looking forward to being a part of the OKdo vision and to share our technology with the OKdo community.”

Richard Curtin, SVP Technology and Co-founder at OKdo:

“Our ambition at OKdo is to be a leading technology company within SBC and IoT. We want to be first with new, differentiating technologies, so we are very happy that NeoCortec has given us the opportunity to add NeoMesh to our IoT portfolio. A key differentiating feature with this mesh technology is that it is 100 per cent battery powered. This will enable new and unique use cases to get data into the Cloud. At OKdo we are also excited about what new opportunities this will bring to our partner ecosystem and how this technology will be leveraged.”

The NeoMesh protocol offers an agile, scalable, and ultra low power wireless connectivity solution with very few limitations and a strong focus on user-friendliness and short time-to-market.

NeoMesh is offered for both 2.4GHz as well as sub 1GHz frequency bands in a series of pre-approved modules. The modules are well suited for a broad range of applications, cost efficient and easy to integrate into the target product.

Furthermore, all NeoMesh network nodes are full-functionality devices, which means the network is 100 % battery powered, with no need for mains-powered concentrators or repeater nodes in the network. This ensures battery lifespans of several years, not only for some of the network nodes but for the network as a whole.
